These terms apply when you use this website and the Symmetry Alpha research platform (together, the “Services”). Symmetry Alpha is operated by Leading Alpha Technologies (“we”, “us”). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Not financial advice
Symmetry Alpha is research software. Everything on this website and within the research platform, including research, data, studies, backtest results and other analysis, is provided for information and research purposes only. It is not financial, investment, trading, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation or an offer to buy or sell any financial instrument or service.
- Past and simulated results are not a guide to the future. Backtests and other studies are hypothetical. They are based on historical data and assumptions, and real results can differ significantly.
- Trading carries risk. Trading and investing, especially with leverage, can result in losses greater than you expect, including the loss of all the money you put in.
- Your decisions are your own. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, and should consider getting independent professional advice before acting.
2. Using the Research Platform
- Access to the Research Platform is available to members we approve. We may offer, change, suspend or end access at our discretion.
- Keep your sign-in details confidential, and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly through our contact page if you think someone else has used it.
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms to use the platform.
- If you connect the platform to a third-party service, such as a trading terminal or brokerage account, you remain responsible for that account and for any orders placed through it, and that service’s own terms apply.
3. Acceptable use
When using the Services, you agree not to:
- break any law, or use the Services for fraud, market manipulation or any other unlawful purpose;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other accounts, or the systems behind them;
- interfere with the Services, for example by overloading them, probing for weaknesses or spreading malicious code;
- copy, resell, scrape or redistribute the Services or their content, except as these terms allow;
- send spam or misleading messages through our contact channels.
4. Intellectual property
The Services, including the Symmetry Alpha name and logo, the software, designs and content, are owned by Leading Alpha Technologies or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own research in line with these terms. Settings and notes you create in the platform remain yours.
5. Third-party services and links
The Services may link to or work with services we do not control, such as WhatsApp, market data sources or trading platforms. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and their own terms and policies apply.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services available and accurate, but we do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or always up to date. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Services at any time.
7. Disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including about accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose or results you may obtain from using the Services.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, trading losses, loss of data or loss of opportunity, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services or any information in them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending access
You may stop using the Services at any time, and ask us to close your platform account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to in order to protect the Services, other members or ourselves.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings there.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Services after an update, the updated terms apply.
